Clutter Clearing

Now this isn’t just tidying up! Although in the long run it will help you save time when cleaning which is a bonus!

The most important thing you can do for the Feng Shui of your home clear your clutter. This doesn’t mean you get rid of everything and have a home with no personality or memories!

Have a look around you now, which one object attracts your attention? How does it make you feel? Happy? Sad? Angry? If it’s happy great, keep it where it is, if it makes you sad or angry you should let it go, it doesn’t matter if it’s been passed through the family for the last 100 years – if it doesn’t make you feel happy it’s not for you. So pass it on to someone who will love it, that is good for you freeing up and enhancing your energy and good for them enhancing their energy!

If you have been bereaved you might be looking at something and it may make you feel happy, sad and angry all at the same time, mixed emotions are hard to deal with aren’t they. Look at it again, remember the time you bought it/made it the memories it holds for you, if they are all positive then great, keep it. If the memories are mostly sad then don’t feel you need to torture yourself by having it around still, you don’t, if you are ready to let it go, then do so, with love, but let it go.

Clutter clearing after grief is more complicated than normal clutter clearing, it isn’t to be rushed and should only be done when you are absolutely ready to and this still does not mean removing all memories, please remember that. You keep your memories in a way that allows you to move forward.
